Science Behind Red Light Therapy

Sep 26, 2019 | Blog

When doing research on the use of red-light therapy, most of the results you will find include mostly hand-held devices that provide the effects of red-light therapy. The device we have at all of our locations is a full-body enhancement that will allow for your entire body to receive the effects all at once. Some small devices are priced starting at $50 up to $100’s, which could cause some pricy spending points. Instead of spending $100’s on a small device, you could have unlimited use of the full-body enhancement booth that Beaches has to offer for $49 a month!

Okay, so what is red light therapy exactly? (other than purely amazing…)

Red light uses red low-leveled light wavelengths that act on the mitochondria in the cells to stimulate energy; which helps produce collagen in our skin.  The older you get the less your skin produces collagen on its own, which leads to the increase of aging effects. The production of collagen will help diminish those skin impurities that we don’t want, such as scars, wrinkles, acne, among many others.

By now you must be asking yourself is this really true? How can I tell? Can I try it?

And the answers are easy, yes – it is true! Many people who come to use the red-light bed are first-hand witnesses and believers that red-light can help reverse the skin impurities we don’t want. To see results, we recommend using red-light twice or more a week, for up to 8 weeks. This is the average amount of use to begin seeing results from the red-light and help repair skin damage. If you haven’t had the chance to try the red-light therapy service yet, head into the Beaches near you to give it a try!

In addition to the wonderful full-body effects that red-light therapy can have on your skin, the stand-up booths that we have at some locations include *drum roll please* shake plates! The shake plate in the stand-up booth helps build up the muscles that are being targeted, to reduce cellulite and improve elasticity. Hello rejuvenated and toned skin!

** Did you know:

Red light therapy does NOT tan your skin. That means you can take advantage of the red-light therapy twice in one day if you desire!
